bright red blood is a neoclassical gothic pop composer and physician educator in Boise, Idaho. For years, her graduating residents have said, "Hey, how can I possibly go out into the world and practice Medicine without you telling me what's crap and what's reasonable?" But she was investing so much time and creative energy into crafting elegant and beautiful tunes that there wasn't time for anything else on days off. 

In the wake of recent demoralization from yet another Treefort Music Festival rejection, and at the urging of her colleagues, she decided to start an evidence-based medicine podcast and sort the gems from the crap for all. 

But there are loftier, alternative motives as well. Social media following has become integral to booking shows. And if they won't follow for the music, maybe they'll follow for the Medicine...
